About Eyebrow Embroidery
There are several methods of applying permanent makeup for eyebrows. It can be done manually, with a range of blades and shading needles, or, it can be done with an electric device similar to a tattoo machine.
You may have recently come across trending social media posts with hashtags such as #Microblading #Ombré #Mistybrow #Digitalhairstrokes . Chances are, these people who posted, have tried the eyebrow embroidery to achieve the perfect set of eyebrows they always wanted.
In recent years, we have seen a rise in the number of celebrities and influencers going for eyebrow embroidery to achieve the “no makeup” look. While the outcomes of the perfectly arched and defined brows are commonly shared, information/ advice for the healing process is relatively piecemeal on the internet – Probably because the aftercare required is often perceived as the aftermath hassle.
Healing Process & After Care
IT’S NORMAL TO SEE SWELLING AND DARKER EYEBROWS INITIALLY
After your treatment, there may be some redness and swelling but it should be gone by the next day. On the second and third day, your newly embroidered brows will appear to be darker and bolder but that’s normal and is part of the healing.
Your brows will start to scab from Day 3 onwards and scabbing should stop on Day 10. The colour will fade around 40-60 per cent, depending on individual skin type. A touch-up session can be arranged for your brow artist to fill up any gaps in your brows.
So you’ve known what Eyebrow Embroidery is and its pretreatment process. How about post-treatment and aftercare?
Congratulations! As with any other cosmetic procedure, there are a few microblading aftercare instructions you must follow if you want to guarantee the success of your procedure.
Remember, no matter how much of a master your esthetician is, you are the only person accountable for the success of your procedure. Following the microblading aftercare recommendations successfully will get you through the healing process with a brand new pair of gorgeous eyebrows.
Not following them can result in more time, discomfort and money spent fixing what should have been your new eyebrows.
