FAQs

EYEBROW EMBROIDERY CAN CREATE DIFFERENT EFFECTS
Eyebrow Embroidery is the technique where the brow artist implants colour pigment beneath the surface of the skin with tiny disposable needles. This helps to create fuller-looking brows, shape the eyebrows to the perfect design that fits individual face shapes. There are two main types of Eyebrow Embroidery techniques to create different effects; the shading technique creates a misty or powdery effect and the microblading technique creates hair-like strokes that resemble your natural brow hairs.
EYEBROW EMBROIDERY IS NOT THE SAME AS EYEBROW TATTOO
Although both techniques work to insert pigment into the skin, Eyebrow Embroidery and Eyebrow Tattoo are not the same. Tattoo is a permanent coloring technique and the embroidery is considered semi-permanent makeup as the pigments will fade over time. Traditional Eyebrow Tattoos are relatively thinner and less natural-looking as compared to the Eyebrow Embroidery as the embroidery utilises hand-drawn techniques to mimic the look of real brow hairs. Besides, Eyebrow Embroidery and Eyebrow Tattoo use different kinds of ink. While traditional Eyebrow Tattoo may turn blue or green over time, Eyebrow Embroidery stays true to the original colour even if the colour fades over time.
EYEBROW EMBROIDERY IS DELICATE AND SAFE PROCESS
The whole process will take approximately 2 hours to complete. First, your brow artist will trim and design your eyebrows to the desired shape. Then, a numbing cream will be applied for 15-20 minutes to ensure comfort throughout the process. The pigments will then be inserted into your skin with disposable needles. In between the procedure, you can ask for a more numbing gel to be applied to keep the process pleasant. It’s a delicate process, therefore, it’s important to have your Eyebrow Embroidery done by a certified and experienced brow artist to minimize the potential risk for infection.
SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR EYEBROW PENCIL FOR 12 TO 18 MONTHS
Eyebrow Embroidery usually lasts from 12 months to 18 months. The pigment will fade off gradually and you can do a touch up yearly to maintain your embroidered brows. Say goodbye to your eyebrow pencil and save time on your morning makeup routine.
Aftercare Recommendations for your Eyebrow
1. Do not wet
Sure, it might seems weird because you’re immediately thinking “how am I going to shower?” It is important you try to keep your brow area out of the water for at least the following 10 days. The reason is the water may absorb the pigment in the skin and create an uneven texture.
2. Avoid Sweating
Gym rats, sorry but you might not like this part. You should try not engaging in arduous physical activity for 10 days after your procedure. Again, excessive sweating might absorb the pigment and leave a patchy texture.
3. Do not pull out scabs
Your brow area will swell a little bit right after the procedure. It’s normal and it’s not something for you to worry about. You will also develop scabs on the area that was worked on and it is highly important that you do not pull out these scabs. They might itch, but do your best to keep them in place, they will fall off in their own time. The reason, again, is the pigment. Pulling out the scabs can leave an uneven color.
4. Avoid the sun
Keep out of the sun for the next month or so. That means, no tanning whatsoever. Wear a hat when going outside and once the area has completely healed, use sunblock to ensure longer lasting results.
5. Avoid heat
If you’re a big fan of saunas, sorry, but you’re gonna have to stay away from those for about a month or so after your microblading.
6. No makeup or creams on brow area
Your goal is to try to keep the brow area clean. If you apply makeup or creams on the area you might soil the area and remove some scabs in the cleaning process.
7. No sleeping on your face
If you are one of those few people on earth that choose to sleep face down into the pillow, please find another sleeping position, at least for the next 10 days after your microblading.
8. Moisturize the area
If the scabs or flakes are too dry, they will itch and you will be more prone to scratching, so to avoid that, try to keep the area moisturized by using the ointment your esthetician recommends. To clean, simply pat away with a clean towel. Do not rub.
